He would be best known to readers of the TV groups for his recurring
role as medical examiner Mort Gustafson on "Due South," and his
appearance in a powerful time-travel episode of "The Outer Limits"
called "Tribunal." He also played the Amish grandfather in the
Harrison Ford film "Witness."

He was also a menacing assassin on the X-Files.

He was a fine actor.

I remember him from "Guess What?", the TVO series. He seemed old even then.

Not to insult fans of Due South, but the Triads of Death don't include
performers who don't make it into the public consciousness at large.

Otherwise, musicians of Rubes' level of obscurity (or, if you will,
not-quite-reknown in the world of pop culture at large) would be
creating Triads of Death every 30 minutes or so.

I remember that show! I've even seen the original movie. I don't
recall that opening sequence for the T.V. show, though.
